Dr. Mehreen Zaman, CEO of MyAllergyAid, had the honor of representing MyAllergyAid as a judge at the University of Toronto’s Pitch with a Twist event – a competition designed to celebrate and support women entrepreneurs. As part of a distinguished panel of judges, Dr. Zaman evaluated a range of innovative business ideas from passionate female founders.
The event featured an inspiring keynote address by Catherine Addai-Boadu, whose powerful message on female entrepreneurship resonated deeply with our philosophy. Catherine’s words on overcoming challenges and embracing bold ideas served as a motivating reminder of the strength and resilience required to succeed in business.
An impressive array of business ideas presented by the participants. We would like to Congratulate the winners of the competition:
- Xatoms– Early Stage First Place and People’s Choice
- Equity Pulse– Early Stage Second Place
- Toothpod– Late Stage First Place and People’s Choice
- Philer AI– Late Stage Second Place
We look forward to following the journeys of these female-led businesses and are confident their innovative ideas will leave a lasting mark on the Canadian entrepreneurship landscape. As a company focused on supporting female caregivers, we recognize the challenges women face in balancing careers and caregiving. We believe that every obstacle presents an opportunity for growth. Here’s to empowering more women in entrepreneurship and supporting their journey to success!
